Editor's note: This is the second post in a two-part series about New Englanders playing in the Premier Lacrosse League.
In a Premier Lacrosse League where – aside from the week-long training camp at the start of the season – a team gets one practice a week together, Chaos coach Andy Towers (New Canaan, Conn.) said having players from similar areas helps make connections quicker, adding there’s value to having a similar sense of humor.
“If they’re laughing together, and they’re getting along, and they think about things from a general standpoint in a similar manner, chances are, they’re going to be fast friends," he said.
"We want everybody in our locker room to have a ton of respect and enjoy the other guys in the locker room. If you’re able to do that, and they hang out together, that cohesion off the field, we believe, carries into cohesion on the field.”
