Adversity for the New Canaan (Conn.) High School girls lacrosse team came on April 11 this season when it played against Victor (N.Y.).
Not only did the Rams lose that game, 8-7 (one of just two losses they’ve had all season), they also lost one of their best players, senior attack Hollis Mulry, to a season-ending knee injury.
“That was a huge blow,” said coach Kristin Woods.
From there, the season could have gone in several different directions: up or down, forward or sideways. The team quickly set their trajectory in motion.
