The state of Connecticut, particularly the Fairfield County region, produces some of the best high school girls lacrosse talent in the country.
And, by extension, some of the best teams, year in and year out.
New Canaan ended last season ranked No. 7 in the nation, despite losing in the state semifinals to eventual Class L champion (and longtime rival) Darien. The Blue Wave completed their title run -- their seventh in eight years -- with a championship game win over Fairfield-Ludlowe, 14-6.
All those teams figure to be in the Class L mix again. Which other ones can join them?
