Recruiting analysis: Publics producing the most D-1 commits

While the powerhouse program at Darien (Conn.) High School has set the pace when it comes to juniors from the region’s public schools committing to Division 1 programs, other programs in the six-state area are making a mark as well.

And there are some common threads.

Of the 60 juniors from the region who have committed to D-1 programs, 38 come from public schools and 22 come from prep schools.

In the public group, nine of the 38 commits play at Darien, which under Hall of Fame coach Lisa Lindley has established itself as both a Connecticut and a national power.
