With one month to go, the proposed Senior Classic is getting closer to becoming reality.

The two-day July tournament is being organized by the Eastern Mass. Lacrosse Coaches Association to give graduating high school seniors who lost their seasons a final chance to play together.

Lincoln-Sudbury coach Brian Vona, one of the organizers, said Wednesday that the state’s phased reopening, with youth sports practices permitted to resume under the current phase 2, and phase 3 set to begin on June 29, sets up well for the event to take place. Phase 3 allows youth games and tournaments with limited crowd sizes.
