The numbers speak for themselves.

Since the leaders of the Eastern Massachusetts Lacrosse Coaches Association announced a month ago their plans to hold a Senior Classic tournament in July for outgoing high school seniors, more than 100 teams have registered to take part.

The tournament, scheduled for Sunday, July 19 and Monday, July 20 at locations to be announced, would allow teams made up of just seniors to get anywhere from four to six modified games with their high school teammates after the coronavirus pandemic wiped out their final spring seasons.
