The Division 1 season is over. Maryland ran the table and won the NCAA championship.
Cornell gave the Terps a final test thanks to a fourth-quarter run, but by and large, it was Maryland's year in the national spotlight. Fun for the “hotbed” of the sport. But for the Northeast -- for us -- this was not as fun.
Still, there were a number of great things to come out of the region this spring. Players, teams and results will leave a lasting memory in the minds of lacrosse fans across our corner of the United States.
Here are just a few to roll through while we start packing our vacation bags with lacrosse gear to go to summer showcases.
