Tessa Geddes recalls never being able to sit still as a child. She also remembers wanting to be like her older siblings: brother, Zach, and sister, Avery.
Both were bitten by the lacrosse bug so, naturally, Tessa and her twin sister, Carly, were inspired to play as well. She remembers an “energetic” household shuttling four kids to a variety of extracurricular activities — all were multi-sport athletes — and not having too many family dinners.
Then she remembers being in eighth grade, sitting in the stands watching Avery in her senior season of lacrosse at Winchester (Mass.) High School before she would leave home to play at Skidmore College.
She remembers a feeling of anxious anticipation.
