Talented Taft School has leader for the ages in Elijah Cohen

With 13 seniors committed to Division 1 programs, and seven more in the junior class, Taft has arguably the most talented roster in New England. There’s no shortage of veterans capable of being key leaders.

The team consensus is that one Taft senior stands alone when it comes to leadership. And he hasn’t officially suited up for the Rhinos yet.

Elijah Cohen, a 6-foot-4 midfielder committed to Harvard, has become the heartbeat of the program since he transferred in from Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, N.Y.

Cohen received the most player votes for captainship since Nic Bell became the Rhinos head coach in 2017.
