Standouts in goal, on ‘D’ have Kent School primed to climb

By Mike ZheJanuary 8, 2021

After some lean years, Kent School has a foundation of strong defensive players heading into the 2021 season. (Kent School)

When Mike Kruger took over the boys lacrosse program at Kent School prior to the 2019 season, he inherited a program that wasn’t near the bottom of the Founders League.

It was the bottom of the Founders League.

Coming off a 2-13 season littered with one-side defeats, Kent went 2-14 two years ago, a campaign highlighted by competitive losses to Avon Old Farms and Hotchkiss, and an overtime win against Westminster, a team that had blasted it by a score of 18-0 the year before.

Losing, but also some progress.
