Surprises abound as Div. 3 tournaments unfold

If there's one thing that March Madness teaches us year after year it's that the higher seed is never a guarantee, no matter how talented that team is.

That lesson is playing out across New England's various Division 3 postseason tournaments, as surprises are abound in the NESCAC, NEWMAC and GNAC.

Don't get us wrong – there are plenty of status-quo results to take stock of, ones that were largely expected. But those shock games are the ones that turn heads, as few outside of a lower seed's locker room thought the win was possible.

Here's all you might have missed as automatic bids begin to crystalize and teams hunt history throughout the region's D3 landscape.
