In Wellesley High School’s game against Hingham in early May, Alanna Dumalac made a play that revealed the two sides of her lacrosse persona.
Working on a field still slick from recent rain, she shed two defenders with a college-caliber jab step, one of them falling to the ground as Dumalac turned and ran away.
“Then she turned to our bench and made an ‘Oh, my!’ face,” said Wellesley coach Steve Balter. “She made the whole team laugh.”
