Jessica Tosone grew up with four older sisters: Julia, Michaela, Alicia and Audra. She called them her role models and wanted to do everything they did, including lacrosse.
“Going to the games in middle school or elementary school, it was so exciting,” she said. “I said, ‘I can’t wait to be in high school, so I can get on the field and do that one day.’”
While Tosone was inspired by her family, she wasn’t the only young girl in Walpole, Mass., at the time who followed the high school girls lacrosse team and wanted to be just like the players.
