Since Sept. 1, nearly 50 girls from the region's Class of 2023 have verbally committed to Division 1 schools.
Most of those commits play for a club team in the region. In fact, New England has a number of girls club teams that produce bankable D-1 talent regularly. In this series, we're taking a look at which teams have the most commits at the start of the 2023 class being recruited.
First, we will look at the total number of committed players so far. This isn’t a talent or quality evaluation; it’s more of a volume measurement.
Then we will list the positions that have been committed. The variation and distribution of certain positions to certain clubs help to show what kind of players are being snatched up by the colleges and developed by the club teams.
