Proposed July tourneys offer ray of hope for seniors

One by one on Tuesday, Concord-Carlisle (Mass.) coach Tom Dalicandro called his players to discuss the cancellation of the spring lacrosse season due to COVID-19 concerns.

“I told them basically how much they mean to me, asked what I can do for them, or I just let them vent,” he said. “They all asked, every one, is there any chance we’ll be able to play on a field together one last time before we get to college?”

The answer? Maybe there is, after two organizations announced plans to hold tournaments for high school teams in July.
