Spring season update: ‘Until it’s over, it’s not over’

Cole Nye is like many senior lacrosse players in New England, whether they play on prep or public school teams.

A little bit defiant.

“Until it’s officially over, it’s not over,” the Middlesex School captain said this week.

As the country continues to battle the coronavirus pandemic, players across the region are embracing any encouraging news they hear, even as the window for spring sports seasons is shrinking and bad news arrives daily.
