Postseason heartbreak, locals crowned champions in Div. 1 Women

Some tickets are already punched to the NCAA tournament in Division 1 women's lacrosse.

To be exact, there are four slots guaranteed, with the rest set to play out ahead of Selection Sunday on May 5. The odds aren't looking too favorable for most of New England's teams, with even Boston College taking a hit over the weekend.

However, there promise to be plenty of New England natives to keep tabs on once the Big Dance rolls around.

Ahead of then, there's plenty of lacrosse to digest from a New England point of view. Here are some of the biggest storylines you might have missed from the weekend that was, spanning the East Coast, West Coast and everywhere in between.
