New Hampton’s drive for five powered by locals Castillo, Swensen

The Lakes Region League is heating up and taking aim at four-time defending champions New Hampton.

Despite some early season knocks, the Huskies are ready for the challenge, thanks in large part to the two-pronged attack of Carter Castillo (Franklin, Mass.) and Lars Swensen (Duxbury, Mass.).

While the duo has only played together at New Hampton for just one season, their pairing came with the familiarity of having played alongside each other at 3d Lacrosse for four years. Head coach Justin Simon said their chemistry was apparent early on.

“They work well together,” Simon said.
