DEVENS, Mass. — It was just moments after his Laxachusetts Black team lost to the Central Kings in the 2020 AA division final at the 2019 Legacy Invitational, so Dave Evans may not have been in the greatest mood.
"Sorry about that," he quipped. "I don't like to lose."
However, Evans knew that the greater goal for the weekend had been a smashing success. Looking over the 15 fields with so many players and college coaches in attendance, the club tournament had served its purpose.
