D3 Men: Top freshmen in New England

When most think about the stars of Division 3 lacrosse in New England, their mind understandably shifts to upperclassmen who are well-established.

Amherst senior attackmen Evan Wolf could easily play Division 1, but has instead left his stamp on the NESCAC for four years. Same goes for Tufts junior midfielder Nick Shanks, who's coming off a First Team All-American season.

As the spotlight shines brightly on players who fit that profile, the next generation is quietly – or in some cases quite loudly – making moves. They're the region's rising stars and ones who are bound to shape their respective teams for years to come.

Here's our look at 15 freshmen who have stood out above the rest across New England's D3 lacrosse landscape. An honorable mention section is included, too.
