The NESCAC is deep and ripe with parity. Those truths were reaffirmed on Saturday when Williams beat Bates, a side that had beaten Wesleyan, the defending national champions, earlier this season.

The victory backed up what several coaches throughout the region told New England Lacrosse Journal back in January and February: The Ephs, with experience and a balanced offense, could be a surprise contender in the NESCAC.

As another week nears, our look at the Williams win and other top stories from the region are within.
