It’s been a lean few years in West Hartford, Conn.

The Hartford Hawks last made the NCAA tournament in 2016, then bottomed out last spring by going 3-10, the program’s worst campaign since 2010.

And yet, there’s plenty of optimism in the locker room this spring, according to senior attackmam Dylan Jinks. For one, he feels parity across the board in Division 1 has significantly shrunken the have-vs.-have-not gap over the last half-decade.

“There is no consensus top 10 anymore, like when I was in high school,” said Jinks, three years removed from an America East Rookie of the Year nod.
