WEYMOUTH, Mass. – Medfield High School has always been a dominant program in the state, with a collection of MIAA Division 2 championships.
Once the Warriors made the move down to Division 3 in 2022, some assumed they would hoist immediate banners in their new division.
But after running into a buzz-saw of a Norwell team in ‘22, and what could be classified as a rebuilding year in ‘23, top-seeded Medfield (20-3) reached the mountaintop on Saturday with a 13-4 win over No. 2 Scituate.
It was the program's ninth state championship.
