Alex Frank is counting the days before she sees the bulk of her players in person for the first time since perfection was interrupted last spring.
The 2008 Westwood(Mass.) High School graduate and three-time Northwestern University national champion as a player could not have scripted a better start to her stint as Dartmouth College women’s coach than when the Big Green tore off five straight victories to start the season – including a 13-9 upset of No. 5-ranked Florida on March 3.
The New England native’s storybook return home came crashing to a halt, however, one week later following an 18-5 romp past New Hampshire when the Ivy League announced the rest of the spring season was canceled due to the emerging coronavirus health crisis.
