Michael Ayers saw a lot of things about Tufts University that reminded him of what he’s experienced for three years at St. John’s Prep.

Enough to decide to make the school the next step in his lacrosse journey.

Ayers (Hamilton, Mass.), a defender/longstick midfielder who just completed his junior year at St. John’s Prep, recently made his verbal commitment to join the NESCAC powerhouse program coached by Casey D’Annolfo (West Hartford, Conn.).

“The big things for me were talking to Coach D’Annolfo, and talking about the community and the program they had at Tufts,” said Ayers. “It matched up well with what my high school has.”
