On June 11, the clock hit zeros in the Connecticut Class M championship game at Sacred Heart University. It was a rout.
Cheshire High School defeated Daniel Hand, 18-3, the culmination of a season of dominance for the Rams, particularly for their star junior midfielder, Matt Jeffery.
Jeffery scored six goals and added two assists in the title game, and would be named an All-American, CT Player of the Year and USA Today’s Player of the Year in lacrosse.
Ranked as the No. 1 prospect in his recruiting class in the nation and set to attend Notre Dame next year, Jeffery has already reached the height of high school athletics.
