In a summer full of changes, players de-committing from a program are inevitable.
As such, head coach Brian Holman’s departure from Utah had some unexpected ripple effects in New England. Tabor’s Aidan O’Neil, one of the top attackmen in the 2022 class, changed his college commitment from the Utes to Richmond late last week.
The courtship with the Spiders was short, but it makes sense on a number of levels.
Richmond, a team in the Southern Conference known for its defense, is always on the lookout for more offensive firepower. O’Neil brings that and more with his incredibly impactful, yet nuanced, skill set.
