The women were defeated by Salisbury, 14-13, in the NCAA championship game in Salem, Va., and the men -- considered by many to be the favorites at this stage of their Division 3 tournament -- were beaten, 18-16, by RIT in the semifinals earlier in the day in Rochester, N.Y.
For the men, timing might not have been everything, but it was something.
