During a busy week of recruiting, one of the last calls Rylee Bouvier took was from Stanford.
It was Friday night, three full days after the Sept. 1 date that marks the first contact date for high school juniors. On the other end of the line was Danielle Spencer, the former Dartmouth College coach who is trying to duplicate the success she had in the Upper Valley in Palo Alto, Calif.
“I was kind of familiar with her coaching style and personality,” said Bouvier (Hollis, N.H.), who is beginning her junior year at New Hampshire power Bishop Guertin. “I was super-excited to get on the phone with her.”
