Sometimes the term “glue guy” can be viewed in a patronizing light, but when you cause a turnover on defense, run through everyone on a clear and then tag a corner to finish the possession, that's the ultimate glue guy.
And that is what Tripp Schuhwerk (Hingham, Mass.) provides and the type of spark he’ll be looking to give Rutgers in two seasons.
Schuhwerk was predominantly a D-middie for BC High (Mass.) during his freshman season. He then followed it up with a 60-point sophomore campaign as one of the offensive leaders for the Eagles.
BC High head coach Marcus Craigwell noted how multifaceted and dynamic Schuhwerk was for the Eagles the past two years: "He's a bonafide athlete; he'd play any position to contribute to the team win,” he said.
