Eric Holden was back home, practicing shooting on Wednesday, and smiling.
It was official. After three-plus seasons starring at attack and midfield for Hobart, the former Lincoln-Sudbury (Mass.) High School star knew where he’d be playing next year: at national power Maryland after putting his name in the NCAA transfer portal.
“It just felt great to know what I’m getting ready for,” he said Thursday.
After a career at Hobart that saw Holden rack up 97 goals and 150 points, and get named to the Tewaaraton Watch List as a senior, he had a decision to make about his future after the NCAA granted seniors an extra season of eligibility in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.
