In an announcement that went public Wednesday, longtime Bishop Guertin (N.H.) High School coach Chris Cameron is stepping down as the head coach of the program.
However, he will be staying on the staff as an assistant -- a detail that shouldn’t surprise anyone.
Cameron’s replacement has also been named. It is his son, Brian Cameron, who is an alumnus of BG and had a storied playing career at North Carolina and Rutgers. Most recently Brian also served as the volunteer assistant at Holy Cross in addition to assisting the Cardinals.
So, why now?
