
The run on face-off prospects has continued in the Class of 2025. The latest draw man to commit from the region is Nick Senecal (Narragansett, R.I.) of Bishop Hendricken (R.I.).
Senecal vaulted to the top of coaches' boards after a strong summer season with the Rhode Island Bulldogs. This week he pledged to play for Long Island University amid interest from several other Division 1 programs in the region.
At 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds, Senecal doesn't have a typical face-off man’s build. In fact, he looks a lot more like a marauding midfielder because ... well, that’s what he started out playing.
“I coached his two older brothers, so when he came in his freshman year there were some pretty high expectations for him,” said Bishop Hendricken head coach Matt Clifford. “He was kind of a do-it-all all kid mainly starting out as a defensive midfielder.
