It was quite the weekend in Division 3 lacrosse, as highlighted by Amherst, Middlebury and Wesleyan all venturing down to Owings Mills, Md., for the annual Mustang Classic.
The tournament featured 10 of the country's top D3 teams – a who's who outside of Salisbury, Tufts and Cabrini – competing on Friday and Saturday. While championship weekend is the biggest celebration for college lacrosse, the Mustang Classic is right up there for D3 fans.
That's not all that unfolded in New England college lacrosse, though. There were other NESCAC teams dropping goals left and right, a NEWMAC squad that's full of surprises and a GNAC group that nearly reached the two-dozen goal mark.
