Opening weekend didn't go exactly as the defending national champions planned.

Luckily for Yale, the chance to smooth matters over arrives quickly on Saturday afternoon when Penn State comes to town. It's a top-10 matchup that New England and national lacrosse fans surely will watch with bated breath.

To preview that and some other top games throughout the region, New England Lacrosse Journal has its weekend preview below. Some clubs are trying to keep the good times rolling, while others are looking to stamp the win column for the first time in 2019. Either way, some top-end games are in store.
