In typical years in the Independent School League, the days leading up to Thanksgiving let us reflect on recently-completed fall sports seasons and look ahead to winter.
Not this year. With no competitive fall sports seasons, and winter campaigns in jeopardy due to COVID-19, players are working out on their own and in groups, looking ahead to a spring season they hope can be played.
Though the games are on pause, the news is not. Since Sept. 1, more than 70 juniors from the region have made commitments to Division 1 lacrosse programs.
“It was bigger this year than it’s ever been,” said Noble and Greenough coach Matt Rowley.
