Watch List: Top 15 local first-years in Div. 1 women’s lacrosse

There are nearly 120 Division 1 women's college lacrosse program throughout the country, and a fair share have New England natives on the roster.

Look no further than senior midfielder Dempsey Arsenault (New Hampton, N.H.) at Boston College, senior defender Makenna Pearsall (Wilton, Conn.) at Notre Dame and sophomore defender Emma Trenchard (Windsor, Conn.) at North Carolina.

But what about the next generation? To answer that, New England Lacrosse Journal has highlighted 15 first-years from the region who are already turning heads throughout the college game. For consideration, players simply had to have a hometown in New England.

The group is expanded upon below in alphabetical order. There are also several honorable mention nods.
