Tuesday’s high school lacrosse slate featured one of the tastiest matchups of the month – three-time defending MIAA Division 1 champion St. John’s Prep facing three-time defending NHIAA Division 1 champ Bishop Guertin.
In the end, it was standout Jake Vana and St. John’s Prep pulling away for a 10-7 win in the border war, one of those interstate games that both programs believe sharpens their skills.
Thankfully, there are more.
Not counting games against out-of-region opponents (many of the Connecticut powers line up multiple games against strong New York and New Jersey teams), here are seven more interstate matchups to watch in the weeks ahead.
