The NCAA Division 1 men’s lacrosse tournament field is set.
From the region, Vermont is in as the champion of America East and Bryant is in as the champion of the Northeast Conference. Both have stiff first-round tests Sunday, facing bluebloods Maryland and Virginia, respectively.
But New England’s impact in this NCAA tournament stretches well beyond the its borders. National powers like North Carolina, Maryland and Virginia rely heavily on some key players from the region.
