Let's call this past weekend a bit of a wash when it comes to the start of the NCAA season.
Even though teams like Syracuse, Penn State and Providence emerged with victories, the slate was also marred by mass weather-related cancellations. So, let's call this weekend the start of the season, as far more teams across all three divisions will be in action despite the frigid temperatures.
It's always exciting to look at college seasons through the lens of players we watched develop in New England. This view will focus on guys from the public schools in Connecticut.
