Watch list: Five players who will impact America East season

As the snow falls, the spring creeps ever closer for all of the college teams in the region. The America East is home to two New England teams in Vermont and UMass Lowell. The University of Hartford has forgone its conference play this year and may not even field a Division 1 team in 2022. 

While the defending champion Catamounts have a lot of live up to thanks to their incredible 2021 campaign, UMass Lowell enters 2022 with a clean slate after registering just one conference win. 

Can UVM replicate its amazing successes? Can UMass Lowell claw itself off the bottom of the conference? These are questions for the season.

For now, let’s take a closer look at five players from the region who will no doubt lead those teams to their respective destinies.
