
Every team likes a leader, someone who has the experience to command the attention of their teammates and deliver on the field.
Thanks to an elongated eligibility window from the COVID pandemic, as well as season-ending injuries and the transfer portal, there has been more player movement than ever in all three divisions of college lacrosse.
While most of the attention falls to the gifted players who transfer upward, there should be recognition for guys who stay within their division or even transfer a down. Whether they’re playing on an adopted team, going back home to play in front of friends and family, or chasing a title in a new uniform, there is always a reason to keep playing.
Here are four players with local ties who are using up their final years of eligibility in the Division 2 or Division 3 ranks in 2025.
