The Middlebury women have arrived in Salem, Va., for the NCAA Division 3 final four, which opens with semifinals this afternoon, while the championship game will be played on Sunday.
Top-ranked and unbeaten Middlebury, which faces No. 3 Franklin and Marshall in the first semifinal (noon), is seeking to win the NCAA title for the third year in a row.
Three of the four teams in Virginia have impact players from New England, including ninth-ranked William Smith, which plays No. 5 Salisbury in the second semifinal.
