Since 2010, the Champlain Valley Union boys have appeared in 10 of the 11 Division 1 championships that were played in Vermont, winning nine of them, including a current streak of eight in a row.
They are simply the team to beat, the program that all others measure themselves against.
But despite the pressures of being the target, each year the players in the program welcome the challenge of carrying on a legacy as one of the region's most prolific teams.
On the girls' side, South Burlington has won the last two titles in Division 1 and is aiming to make it three in a row.
