ESSEX, Vt. – The Green Mountain State’s biggest lacrosse tournament took place in mid-July and featured multiple club teams from the region.
Taking place over two days, a myriad of college coaches gathered to get follow-up looks with the Class of ‘25 and, in some cases, a first look at some promising ‘26s.
Unlike other club tournaments this summer, the Vermont Lacrosse Classic features club teams from different corners of New England. Vermont teams like 802 Lacrosse and N.E. Oaks mixed multiple squads from Maine as well as mainstays like the Fighting Clams and HGR.
Throw in a few Adirondack and/or Albany-based New York teams and you have a very different mix of players and talent than any other event this summer.
MORE STANDOUTS: '26 attackmen | '26 midfielders | ’25 attackmen | ’25 midfielders | ’25 defenders | ’25 specialists |
This is the final big tournament that I attended this summer, so I will do my best to blow it all out with these last write-ups. Some of these clubs don’t get a lot of media attention, but in my mind, the players that stood out still deserve to be spotlighted.
In this post, we are taking a closer look at the stand-out specialists from the Class of ‘26 at the event. Players are listed with class year, school and club.
