Vermont: Champlain Valley survives to capture sixth straight title

It shouldn't have been a surprise to see Champlain Valley come out on top. After all, it was the school’s sixth consecutive title. But this one may have been the most challenging.

Unlike the traditional dominant fashion in which the Redhawks had become accustomed to, they limped into the postseason with some tight games and a loss to rival Essex.

But when a team has such a winning foundation, instinct can take over when the spotlight is at its brightest.
