WORCESTER, Mass. -- St. John's Prep hoisted its second MIAA Division 1 title in as many years, besting a very game BC High team, 11-5, in the championship game on Tuesday.

A taut thriller in the first half saw both teams knotted at four goals each, but an explosive third quarter turned the entire game around.

It was the second straight meeting in the D-1 final for the Catholic Conference rivals.

St. John's Prep struck first less than a minute in as Jimmy Ayers finished a feed from Tommy Sarni in transition.  The Eagles scored again at the 10:50 mark as Harlan Graber curled around from X and dunked the ball home.
