On Sunday, the men’s team at Division 1 Dartmouth College will compete against one of the best teams in Division 3: Tufts.
It will mark the first time this season that the Big Green will see official game action after the Ivy League decided to cancel all in-conference competition earlier this spring. Ivy League teams have been able to practice, but have been on their own in their efforts to schedule opponents that can comply with not only their own COVID protocols, but the protocols of the other institution.
Still, this is not a case of desperation for either team -- it’s an opportunity for two squads who normally wouldn’t cross paths to compete in an entirely new environment.
