Transfer portal: Who will be in new uniforms next season?

The end of the NCAA season in East Hartford, Conn., seems like ages ago. In reality, it’s only been a couple of weeks and change since RIT, Tampa and Maryland were crowned national champions.

However, for most teams, the offseason began as soon as they were eliminated from their conference tournaments back in early May.

While the focus has, and will likely always be, on the incoming recruiting classes for the fall, the more immediate nature of the transfer portal (and the extra eligibility thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic) offers respite to programs looking for proven players with college experience.

Here are a few players that are either from the region or played at local schools, moving on to play elsewhere in 2023.
