Jason Pagano went to St. Joseph’s in Trumbull, Conn., expecting to play football and lacrosse.
Really, football was going to be the primary sport. St. Joseph’s is a football powerhouse with 15 state championships and has alumni currently playing in the NFL.
The lacrosse program is also a strength, having won the Class S title seven times since 2009. Pagano had played lacrosse before St. Joseph’s, but a Division 1 commitment certainly hadn’t yet crossed his mind.
Now, it has. He recently committed to St. John’s.
